Happy Easter!  Today was such a beautiful day.  It was warm, the sun was shining, and the birds were chirping.  Such a great day to spend with the people you love and celebrate a great holiday.  I hope everyone had a wonderful day!

Last night was my friend Elizabeth's birthday party.  She did a 1920's theme and it was a blast!  I love celebrating birthdays and dressing up in a costume, so it was a double win last night.  I also don't get to see Elizabeth very often since she moved, so anytime that I get to spend with my wonderful friend is just super!

This is Ryan and Michael, my wonderful and amazing friends.  They are moving to California next week and tonight was their going away party.  Words cannot express how much I love these two.  They are such beautiful people inside and out.  They love and respect that they have for each other is so beautiful.  I wish my wonderful friends the best of luck in their new adventure.  I will greatly miss them.

I think it's obvious that I didn't personally take this picture, but Pat took it tonight.  My poor, chubby puppy Queso didn't feel good tonight and all he wanted to do was snuggle.   I think this really captures the love I have for my sweet dogs and how beautiful and important that relationship is.

I love love love the TV show Game of Thrones and tonight one of the pubs in Dallas was serving their Iron Throne Beer and it came with a free Game of Thrones beer chalice!  It was amazing!  If there is one thing I love more than a good, cold beer is free swag.

Pat and I walked the dogs down to the little organic grocer tonight to get some dinner and the moon was already out.  It's almost full and was so bright in the sky already.  I thought it looked beautiful behind the tree branches.

Happy Sunday!  I had such a lazy day today that the only pictures I took were of Pat and the dogs.  This is the three of them waking up for the day.  Sometimes you need a day with nothing on the books and all you do is relax with the ones you love.

Pat and I took a walk this afternoon to grab some lunch and passed this beautiful tree in our neighborhood.  These wonderful purple and white flowers were blooming and not only was it a beautiful sight, but the smell was phenomenal!  It smelled deliciously floral and tropical!  It was heaven.  I could have sat by that tree for hours.

I was out walking the pups tonight and saw this beautiful rose bush that already had bloomed and it was just that extra perk I needed today.  That vibrant yellow color was gorgeous and the shape of the flower was just perfect!

This picture just made me laugh this morning.  I love that we give our dogs the run of the entire house, but they choose sleep, play, chew, or whatever on top of us.  Pat was trying to sleep this morning and Queso decided that chewing on his bone would only work if he was directly on top of Pat.  Ellie decided the only suitable place to sleep was on Pat's shoulder and face.  This is why I love these three.  I have had a super busy/horrible week at work and this sight was able to make me laugh this morning.  You need the little things sometimes.

This is a picture of a painting I got last year and I adore it.  It was painted by a local Dallas artist.  I love supporting local businesses whether it be through food, drink, shops, or artists.  I think it is a such a beautiful thing you can do for the community.

This is the same beautiful tree that I photographed last week and I was so excited to see that it had white blossoms on it.  This week it was already green!  It was so pretty and just another reminder of how quickly the season is changing.  So beautiful!

Today Pat and I took my parents to the new Klyde Warren Park in downtown Dallas.  This is such a gem and such an added piece of beauty to the city.  It is built over the highway in the middle of the city.  Not only is it an amazing park, but it has food and beverage trucks, a kids play area, a dog park, a reading center, lawn games, and even board games that you can borrow.  You have all the greatness of this wonderful outdoor area with the added benefit of the beautiful Dallas skyline.  We spent a wonderful few hours there today just  soaking up the sun and relaxing.

My parents are in town this weekend visiting and I took a half day to spend time with them.  I went to meet them for lunch and they had this glorious drink waiting for me.  It was a wonderful time with family with good food, good drink, and good weather.  Great day.

Tonight I was able to have dinner outside and enjoy the wonderful weather as well as the company of Pat and my parents!  One of the trees on the patio had lights on it and against the sunset it looked absolutely beautiful.  It was a wonderful dinner with great company.

I was trying to capture the light reflecting off the spider webs in the fence.  When it starts to get warm, the spiders go to town spinning webs in this fence.  Spiders and spider webs fascinate me.  They are both creepy and amazing all at the same time.  It has always amazed me how a little creature can create such an intricate web.  It's actually really amazing.

Today was such a beautiful sunset and it was even more beautiful because these pictures were taken at 7:30pm!  The days are getting longer and more beautiful!  I love it that I have a few hours of sunlight left when I get home and I can enjoy longer walks with my dogs.  It was such a nice and beautiful evening.

I photographed these trees a few months ago when they were bare, but at that time, I marveled at the shape of the trees and how they made a canopy over the street.  Today when I passed these trees, they were full of beautiful white buds.  They were still bare as of last week.  It's amazing what a difference a week makes, but it is such a beautiful difference.

More signs that spring and warmer weather is right around the corner!  This tree has started sprouting green leaves just over this past week.  They are already bright green and beautiful.  I can't wait until this tree is completely full of beautiful green goodness.

Spring is coming!  The red leaves are really starting to come out on the bushes around my house and that signals warm weather to me and that is happiness!  The days are getting longer, the nights are staying warmer, and nature is blooming.  So beautiful!

This is my vibrant glowing green smoothing that I drink every morning.  This is not my recipe, it came from the fantastic nutritionist Kimberly Snyder, but I love it!  I have been drinking this every morning for about a year and a half and the list beautiful things it has done for my health is a mile long!  I even got everyone in my office drinking this beautiful creation.  I love what it has done for me and I am so happy I was able to share it with others around me.

There is absolutely nothing visually beautiful about this photo, but between traveling, work, and family obligations, this is the first time in weeks that I have been able to cook a real meal for Pat and I.  I love cooking dinner for us.  It is the ultimate stress relief for me at the end of the day and I love being able to give Pat a nice dinner.

Today was such a beautiful day!  It was 88 degrees and wonderfully sunny.  I unfortunately did not get to enjoy much of the actual day, but it was still beautiful out tonight after the sun went down.  The park was full of people exercising, playing, walking their dogs.  It was great to see so many people taking advantage of this beautiful weather to have some fun and get some exercise.

I took this picture because Pat has been on a business trip since Wednesday and he just got home this afternoon.  Needless to say, I am very happy he's home.  I think it's not only a good sign, but also such a beautiful thing that after almost 10 years, we still miss each other after just a few days apart.

I love Texas and the weather here.  I love that this climate allows for not only flowers and full trees all year round, but you can also have a cactus in your yard if you wish.  Not everyone can have a cactus plant and it definitely helps change up the scenery.  They are beautiful and exotic and I love that I get to look at them everyday.

I love dream catchers and I love what they represent.  Pat bought me this dream catcher on our trip to Colorado a few years ago.  It has been hanging over our bed since then and I smile every time I look at it.  It reminds me that Pat would do anything to protect me and make sure I have sweet dreams.  :)
