This giant white string is a piece of thick spider web.  These were everywhere this morning in Dallas!  It's called "ballooning" and it basically helps tiny spiderlings get from tree to tree and spread out.  It happens every year around this time, but was especially noticeable today because there was such little breeze.  Many people are obviously super grossed out by this, but it's a part of nature and spiders definitely serve a purpose in this word.  :)

It was sweet Axel Fynn's first birthday and I was lucky enough to be able to spend the day with him.  I love this picture of him and his mommy.  It is his first encounter with a balloon like this and he was so in awe of it! It was such a great day!

Pat and I went to a show this past weekend and The House of Blues and this fantastic chair was outside the performance hall.  Ever since I moved to Dallas, my Mom has called me her "Dallas Rose".  I just smiled when I saw this chair.

I was given a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my office this week to celebrate my 3-year anniversary with the company.  It is such a stunning arrangement and these bright orange lilies are fantastic!  They certainly brighten up my office!

I love pumpkins and all things pumpkin!  I was so excited on my trip to the grocery store today and saw the pumpkins out already.  Fall is such a great time of year.  Texas sadly doesn't have fall weather, but I still load up on pumpkins and pumpkin food and drink all season!

Pat and I went to a beer festival downtown yesterday and aside from the blinding heat, it was a blast!  We were able to try some amazing new beers, enjoy some great local bands, and try out some of the local food trucks.  Towards the end of the evening, the city looked beautiful with such a wonderful sunset.

I was so excited on Friday when Pat and I tried out a new Mexican restaurant for dinner.  (Shocking that I haven't tried them all yet, I know.)  This is the second place now that I have found that makes an avocado-pineapple margarita and it was DELICIOUS!  It highlighted the amazing food we had.

Every Monday, I make a run to Whole Foods for my office and pick up healthy goods for the week.  One of my favorite parts of that trip is right when you walk in the door.  I am instantly hit with the aroma of their fresh flower section and it is so wonderful!  I absolutely love it!

Pat and I tried out a new bar last night and their specialty is old fashioned cocktails.  This place was absolutely adorable, the drinks were great, and the staff was incredibly friendly!  Such a fun night!
