Hooray!!  The roses finally bloomed!  I just love how striking the red is against the black fence and how green the leaves are.  Just beautiful!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!  I love this holiday because it gives everyone an extra reason to enjoy a wonderfully fresh margarita.  This one that I happened to enjoy at the block party I went to had a berry vanilla infused tequila.  My goodness it was heavenly.......

It is my wonderful sister Nicole's birthday today.  This picture was actually taken a few years ago, but it is one of my favorites. Nicole and I are different in a lot of ways, but there are definitely similarities with us.  In this photo, we both tried oysters and both had the same horrible reaction.  I love that we are making the exact same facial expression!  I am so lucky to have such a wonderful sister, friend, and mentor in my life.

I love bars and restaurants that serve old fashioned cocktails in old antique glasses.  I specifically love this one because of the shape and the etching on the glass.  It gives the drink so much more character and meaning instead of just throwing it in an everyday glass.  I just found this one extremely beautiful.

This is kind of cheating because I didn't take this photo today, but it is my Dad's birthday and this is one of my favorite pictures of the two of us.  Happy birthday to the most wonderful Dad in the world!  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful Father.  I thank my lucky stars everyday for him.
