We had to board Ellie and Queso while Pat and I were in New York and last night was our first night home with them.  Queso stayed snuggled on Pat's legs and Ellie stayed cozy in between Pat and I, making sure she never let either one of us out of her sight.

This statue just makes me laugh!  Apparently, an artist dropped this bull statue off in the middle of New York and it became a huge tourist attraction.  People line up to take pictures holding the bulls "assets".  It really is a sight to see.

I got to spend a wonderful few days in New York with some wonderful friends this past  weekend.  I haven't been there for years and had almost forgotten about how beautiful the old buildings are.  I love how the city can be so modern, but still be so rich in history.

I am in complete denial about the weather the past few days, so I made my lunch to make it seem like it is hot, humid, and wonderful.  I made a beautiful strawberry, mango, and banana smoothie, but I made it into a soup texture.  I added some dried figs on top for a special touch.  Eating this today made me forget about the horrendous weather.  Almost.

This is another one of my photos from our aquarium trip over the weekend.  I adore sloths!  They are so cute, they don't smell, they only eat fruit and veggies, they only go to the bathroom once a week, and the LOVE to snuggle!  They would make the perfect pet!

We took Pat's family to the Dallas World Aquarium yesterday and it was a blast!  I adore that place and could spend hours watching and learning about all the animals, fish, and reptiles for hours.  Such a joy!

This has been such a special weekend with my sister!  She was able to come down for the holiday and I was able to spend time with her and her wonderful family and friends.  Today, she even was able to help me choose my wedding gown!  This is a weekend I will always remember and hold close to my heart.

I had the day off yesterday and was able to spend the afternoon with my wonderful nephew, Axel Fynn.  I don't get to see him very often and is growing up so quickly that I absolutely cherish the moments I get with him.  He is such a beautiful, happy baby and I am so lucky that I get to be his Aunty Stef.

I have always loved doors.  I remember being a young girl and going to a store like Menards or Lowes with my parents and being entertained by the door department for the entire visit.  I still love cool doors to this day and they are something that always makes me think of my childhood and my love for the door department of the hardware store.

This is my newest lunch creation/obsession and oh my goodness, I love it!  Not only is it beautiful with all of the bright colors, but it is so healthy for you!  It's millet, shredded carrots, purple cabbage, tomatoes, avocado, hemp seeds, seaweed flakes, fresh basil, and fresh lemon juice as a dressing.  I just adore this and I am so happy that I get to share it!
